maddy's baptism

on march 15, we baptized our youngest daughter, madison.
she is 6, but has the faith of a wise woman. whenever she is scared
or worried, she goes right to God. the other day, she was afraid to do a pull-over
at gymnastics and she was just holding herself still on the bar. i asked her if she was
ready to try, and she said, "i'm praying. i need God to help me with this." she was quiet
for a few more seconds and then she did the greatest pull-over of all time!

i promise she's in there!

chore day

we have recently begun "chore day" at our house. we begin on
saturday morning and the girls pick jobs from our chore list. at the end
of the morning they are paid based on the chores they have completed. it usually takes about
an hour and a half to get the whole house clean and, as you can see, the girls are
actually enjoying the work...suckers!

braidyn's 4th birthday

on march 9th, we celebrated our niece's 4th birthday. her party was at hoot's,
which is a place full of bouncers, climbers, and slides. it was hard to tell if the
kids or the dads were having more fun. the pictures aren't the greatest of
quality because everyone was moving too fast!

happy 4th, braidyn!

Our First Gymnastics Exhibition

the girls had their first gymnastics exhibition (they don't do "real meets" until level 4) in late february. they all did great. they have all had their individual hurdles to overcome, but they are getting braver and stronger every week. after this exhibition, hailey and maddy moved up to level 2 and jess moved up to level 3. mom and dad couldn't be prouder.
